First Grade Students Discover the World of Pinocchio

The first-grade students from Mihail Sadoveanu Gymnasium School had a wonderful experience reading Pinocchio, the famous book by Carlo Collodi. This captivating story introduced the children to a world full of adventures and valuable life lessons.

One of the most important lessons they discovered was the value of honesty. Through Pinocchio’s adventures, they learned that lies have consequences and that telling the truth is always the best choice. They also understood that listening to the advice of wiser and more experienced people, such as the Talking Cricket or the Good Fairy, can help them avoid mistakes and dangers.

Reading this story also made the students reflect on the importance of hard work and perseverance. Pinocchio dreamed of becoming a real boy, and he achieved this only after proving that he was diligent, obedient, and eager to learn. This lesson inspired the children to be more responsible and to put effort into everything they do.

Last but not least, the book conveyed a touching message about parental love. Geppetto’s devotion—his unconditional love for Pinocchio and his willingness to forgive him—helped the children realize how precious family is and how important it is to show gratitude to their loved ones.

Through this reading activity, the first-grade students not only traveled to the magical world of stories but also learned essential lessons that will guide them in life. Pinocchio was not just a beautiful story for them, but also a true guide on what it means to be a good, responsible, and honest child.
